Q: How would you describe the culture at Hutker?
A: I would describe the culture at Hutker as welcoming, inclusive, and fun.Q: How did your internship match your expectations?
A: My expectations for Hutker were quite high, but I can honestly say that they were exceeded in every way. From the people I worked with to the projects that I got to experience and see.Q: What was the most satisfying about your time with HA?
A: Gaining a well-rounded experience was incredibly satisfying for me. Having the opportunity to work in all three studios allowed me to get to know everyone in the office and work on different kinds of assignments from interiors work to CAD blocks.Q: Based on your experience, what do you think it takes to be successful at HA?
A: To be successful at Hutker I feel it’s important to be a team player, focused, and passionate.Q: Do you feel more prepared to enter the field of design after spending 3 months with HA?
A: I do feel more prepared to enter the design field with my time at Hutker under my belt.Q: What was your favorite part of your summer on MV?
A: It’s tough to pick one favorite. I’d say that one of the best parts was showing visitors the island, especially pointing out Hutker projects along the drive.Q: Favorite lunch spot on island?
A: Katie, Mia and I loved going to Waterside and Blissed Out. I’d do anything for a Waterside sandwich right now…Q: What was your favorite thing to do with your time off during your time here?
A: I made it my mission to go to the beach as much as possible during my time off. My roommate and I loved running some of the trails after work too!Q: If you were to give an incoming HA intern any advice, what would it be?
A: I’d tell them that everyone at Hutker wants to see you do well and are more than willing to answer questions and share their advice with you. Take advantage of their knowledge. Most importantly, if you’re sitting in Studio B come armed with plenty of jokes.Q: Is there anything else you would like to share?
A: I’m so grateful for every minute I spent at Hutker. I miss it already and can’t wait to come back for a visit.
