Senior Associate Matt Schiffer was the recipient of the 2018 Distinguished Alumni in Practice Award from his alma mater, Boston Architectural College. Matt’s broad professional experience, superior design skills, and capability to collaborate with builders have established him as a critical leader in our firm. Matt is an exceptional designer with an uncanny ability to read the nature and character of each property he encounters, vetting vital opportunities for space, light, and views. He imagines string concpets unifying both site and client with a narrative-driven design outcome. In a world of digital imaging, Matt’s “old-school” drawing skills allow him to communicate design intent in the most effective and elegant manner – indeed, his sketches (treasured by our firm and our clients alike) have frequently been published. Additionally, he is a passionate teacher and mentor who has supported and encouraged younger designers on their own paths. We celebrate this well deserved recognition.
