Hutker Architects is proud to share that Associate Tom McNeill was announced as one of New England Home magazine’s 2019 5 Under 40 award winners on Thursday evening, April 11, at the tenth annual Champagne Reception held at presenting sponsor Landry & Arcari’s Boston showroom.
A select group of top-tier trade professionals, including the 2019 honorees, their colleagues, previous winners, judges, and more gathered to congratulate the following winners in their respective categories. In addition to Tom’s win in the architecture category, the evening also recognized Dane Austin, Dane Austin Design, Boston, MA and Tyler Karu, Tyler Karu Design + Interiors, Portland, ME (interior design), as well as Cheryl Russ, Glengate Company, Wilton, CT (landscape design) and Yukinori Miles Endo, Studio Endo, Providence, RI (specialty design: lighting).
A graduate of Boston Architectural College, Tom McNeill’s aptitude, enterprise, and generosity have made him an extraordinary team member, a sought-after client manager, and an inspiring leader among our staff at Hutker Architects. He has advanced many projects with his forte for progressive design, as well as his excellent planning and management skills.
Now in its tenth year, the 5 Under 40 awards spotlight the hottest emerging talent in high-end residential design in New England, including architecture, interior design, landscape design, and specialty design such as textiles, furniture, or home accessories. Each year, the 5 Under 40 winners partner with presenting sponsor Landry & Arcari to design their own one-of-a-kind rugs, all five of which are auctioned off at the awards ceremony in September. All auction proceeds go to Barakat, a Cambridge, Massachusetts-based nonprofit dedicated to providing exemplary basic education in Afghanistan and Pakistan that advances literacy and increases access to secondary education, primarily for girls and women.
