Great Harbor View

What began as a simple renovation to an existing summer home evolved to a complete redesign when a family worked with our team to explore the site’s opportunities. By keeping the existing footprint, but raising the main floor a full two feet to the allowable limit, views of the harbor were instantly granted to every room. The team was able to grant the home a new identity, to expand the its capacity for guests, and to create a third story escape complete with a widow’s walk that allows 360 degree views. White cedar shingles on the home’s exterior marry with the local vernacular, while oak paneling and a dramatic light filled stair tower make more elegant, contemporary statements.
