Union Bluff

Situated on a verdant lawn overlooking a harbor, Union Bluff combines the best of a shingled 19th century waterfront cottage with elegant contemporary elements. Shaker-like simplicity was re-imagined within to create more open public spaces and luxurious private ones. Gabled clapboard wings are linked by bronze-and-glass connectors that bring the outside in, while a large eat-in kitchen opens to an outdoor dining terrace. An existing sunken garden was repurposed as a multipurpose game court, creating an outdoor gathering space that takes advantage of its location and views.
