This house was designed for clients seeking a right-sized vacation home close to their favorite Cape Cod beach. They commissioned Hutker Architects to create a home that would sit comfortably in its traditional shingle-style neighborhood, while reflecting the family’s contemporary taste and lifestyle; one that includes frequent travel, entertaining, and an affinity for modern art. The floor plan is open, inviting easy transitions between cooking and eating, working and relaxation, and indoors and out. From the entrance, a light filled hall leads past the main stair: on the right to a sleek kitchen which connects, via sliders and folding glass, to the pool pavilion and outdoor dining area, and on the left to a generous multi-purpose family room. Master and guest suites on the second floor are modest in size, with details like built-in cabinetry and balconies creating individual moments of comfort and luxury.
