During excavation on a recent Vineyard project, the homeowner captured a fleeting moment, raw clay exposed before the house began to take shape. A recessed niche now displays the image as if you’re seeing straight through the foundation to the earth beyond — a quiet reminder of the land beneath, and a testament to how thoughtful collaboration and attention to place can shape spaces that feel truly rooted.
